Dr. Andrew W. Kelly

Dr. Kelly got his undergraduate degree in Medical Microbiology with a minor in Chemistry from California State University at Long Beach in 1979.  While at Cal State Long Beach, Andrew knew he wanted to practice health care but was unsure of exactly what. Toward the end of his years at Cal State Long Beach, Andrew discovered his interest in dentistry.
In 1983 Dr. Kelly became a graduate of Howard University College of Dentistry. After graduating from Howard University, Dr. Kelly initially took a job working with one of his former professors and also worked at the University as and Academic Reinforcement Instructor. Dr. Kelly realized that this was not the career path that he wished to follow so he moved back to Los Angeles, California to establish his practice. While waiting to pass the board examination Dr. Kelly worked at Southern California Edison Company as a Medical Analyst. This allowed Dr. Kelly to negotiate health care contracts and it also gave Dr. Kelly the opportunity to conduct health care seminars for the employees of the company.
After passing the California Dental Board, Dr. Kelly Worked in several private and group dental practices to gain clinical and business experience. After approximately 2 years Dr. Kelly established his first practice in Ladera Heights, California. After six years in this location Dr. Kelly outgrew this facility and moved his practice to Playa Del Rey, California which was approximately five miles away. After two years at this location Dr. Kelly purchased a second location in Inglewood, California. After several years Dr. Kelly decided that he wanted to practice in an environment that would allow him to practice his profession and sharpen his management skills. Dr. Kelly moved to North Carolina and accepted a job with a large dental management company. After being there for two years Dr. Kelly decided to go back to private practice.
Since arriving in North Carolina Dr. Kelly has served as a Deputy Examiner for the North Carolina Sate Board of Dental Examiners. Also Dr. Kelly donates several hours of his time per month to free dental clinics in the Piedmont Triad Area. Dr. Kelly is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology a member of the Forsyth County Dental Society, The American Dental Association, The North Carolina Dental Society, The Piedmont Society of Advanced Dental Studies, International Congress of Oral Implantology a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, and an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Kelly is an avid learner and strives to stay well informed of all new techniques and developments in his beloved profession.
Dr. Kelly is a 1988 Graduate of the Core Vent Institute in Encino, California. Under the guidance of Dr. Gerald Niznick, Dr.Kelly became proficient in the placement and restoration of dental implants. Dr. Kelly is also a graduate of The Implant Maxi Course at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Kelly has been placing and restoring implants since 1988. Dr. Kelly maintains a private practice in Clemmons North Carolina that is dedicated to Cosmetic Dentistry, and implant placement and restoration.
